HOW TO PREPARE FOR BANK TEST
It is a fact that more Indian Youths have turned to look for a better profession in Public sector banks. Since IT sector seems to be a fluctuating one after the recessions that recently hit the world economic stability. Most of the IT companies do works from outside India. As recession hit America and Europe the work from there has tremendously reduced and this had a effect on total IT industry in India. This diversion has made the youths to think of a promising career in Public sector banks.
Basically a public sector bank career can be divided into 3 . A fresher can pursume a banking career as:
Specialist Officer (For Technical officer post)
Probationary Officer (For Non Technical post - Manager / Assistant managers)
Clerk or Single window operator (SWO) (Clerical cadre)
COMMON WRITTEN EXAM (CWE)
IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) Conducts COMMON WRITTEN EXAM (CWE) Exam for selecting suitable candidates for this posts. IBPS introduced the concept of Common Written Exam (CWE) for Officer and Clerical cadres. IBPS Website
TESTS CONDUCTED BY IBPS
IBPS CWE PO/MT for the position of Probationary Officer or Management Trainee. IBPS PO is conducted twice in a year.
IBPS CWE Clerk for Clerical positions. This exam is also conducted twice in a year.
IBPS Specialist Officer. This exam is announced from time to time and covers specialist positions in banks.
IBPS CWE SCORE CARD
In all these exams, a scorecard is issued to all candidates who secure more than minimum qualifying marks in each test of the examination. The candidates can reappear in the exam if they would like to improve their score. Candidates who appear for the CWE will be able to check their status after the examination. Scorecards will be issued to candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks and above in each test of the examination. Successful candidates in the CWE who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for jobs in participating banks.
