Job Description
DESIGN MANAGER
· Lead delegated Design teams via Team Leader
· Allocation of staff to design teams to smooth work output to plan
· Agree Team work plans
· Build ability of design
· Cost effective design
· Ensure all work in accordance with company standard practice
· Material selection within tender stipulation
· Initial project Analysis on handover from Commercial department highlighting all critical areas
· Concept drawing accuracy and adequacy
· Performance Mock Up drawings
· Organize performance Mock Up ; monitor and guide during installation; attend test with full report of incidents
· Comprehensive Shop drawings and timely revision
· Complete Material take off to Project Plan
· Material Optimization to phased production
· Phased ‘Bill of Material’ release for efficient purchasing and production
· Fabrication drawings, complete with ‘Bill of material’ and assembly details
· As built drawings
· Submittal programs & logs
· Timely issue of all related documentation to programme
· Liaison with PPC for timely release
· Liaison with Production for 1st batch approval and general information
· Liaison with QC Manager and his staff
· Liaison with client representatives as necessary
· Ensure effective liaison between site and design for all design related queries per Project, follow up and resolve as necessary
· Ensure up-to-date drawing registers for the Project Management Team on site
· Be aware of and report tender variations in a timely manner
· 10-20 years of design expertise in High Rise Aluminum and Glass Curtain Wall Facade
· With strong leadership / personality
· With strong technical skills
· Bachelor Degree in Architect or Civil Engineering
· Well versed with Auto CAD & all related software
QA/QC MANAGER
· Preparing and Implementation of ISO documentations and reports.
· The preparation of the companies QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions
- Control and the distribution of companies quality documentation
- Implement the QA/QC management system at site
- Monitor all quality related activities on the project
- Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the company management
- Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals.
- Attend client quality management meetings
- The preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement.
- Coordinate all receipt inspections
- Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors
- Coordinate with the customers representative on all quality matters
- Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
- Monitor the disposition of all issued non-conformance reports.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required.
- Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the site QC Engineer
- Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customer’s representatives.
- Monitor statistical method reporting.
- Action and close all customer complaints
- Control all archives documentation upon the completion of the project.
- Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
- Participate in the site internal and external site audits
- Compete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses
- Review the customers specification and undertake relevant training to the site QC inspector
- Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan
- Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer
- Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors QC personnel
- Elaborating inspection and test programs
- Ensure the safety is adhered to at site
- Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status
- 5-6 Years of Experience in QA/QC field with Bachelors Degree in engineering.
· To assist Project Manager for planning, scheduling, monitoring of Production and execution of Projects by ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and timely completion of projects
· Projects Planning and Scheduling Aluminium and Glazing works
· Preparation and Updating Projects status, labour histogram and Financial forecast.
· Preparing cash flow and projects monitoring and update.
· Monitoring Production of Aluminium and Glass item fabricated and their delivery at projects.
· Projects monitoring and update
· Coordinating with Contractors – Regularly through progress meetings.
· Coordinating with Projects Managers – Frequently on a daily basis.
· Coordinating with Technical Department – Daily basis for coordination and status update.
· Coordinating Estimation Department – Regularly in every tender stage.
· Coordinating Production Department - Frequently on a weekly basis.
· Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with at least 4 years of experience in planning and scheduling large construction projects in Aluminium Industry. Good working knowledge of Primavera Project Management Software P3, P5 and P6
· High organizational and managerial skills.
· Strong negotiation and communication skills
· Leadership qualities to influence external / internal team for best results.
· Exhibit engineering problem solving abilities to bridge the gap in working of Consultants / Contractors.
