Web Developer - XHTML, CSS, JavaScript

Web Developer - (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, server-side scripting) required by our client a retail/e-commerce company based near Oxford. The successful candidate will possess a passion for working with Web 2.0 technologies, dynamic applications using server side scripting, and want to work alongside graphic designers to translate creative and functional briefs into cutting edge user-experiences. They will pride themselves on producing semantic, accessible, usable, valid, pixel-perfect and cross-browser code.

As a Web Developer with XHTML, CCS, JavaScript you will work within the web development team and you will be responsible for developing e-commerce web sites using our client's e-commerce platform. You will also work on bespoke web projects - seeing them through from initial design and specification to delivery and on-going maintenance.

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

- Good knowledge of XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Familiarity with Flash / ActionScript
- Proven ability with server side scripting
- Awareness of W3C standards and specifications
- Experience implementing Web 2.0 techniques

-Experience running systems administration for a medium to large sized organization with 100+ nodes.
-Several years of experience in Systems administration and maintenance of Linux operating systems used in the development, management and delivery of Web based products
-Solid experience installing, configuring, tuning and maintaining Apache, NGINX and MySQL.
-Scripting experience in shell, Perl or Python
-Knowledge of Django, WSGI and mod_php beneficial.
