Opening for a Metallurgist to work in Tripoli, Libya on Rotation basis. Job Description and Terms and Conditions are as follows:
Typical responsibilities:
Responsible for material selection, welding, fabrication techniques, and corrosion control.
Plans designs execute corrosion programs on all company facilities.
Selects materials to satisfy plant-operating conditions.
Prepares recommendation / specification and reports on the subject of metallurgy & welding.
Conducts failures investigation and recommends corrective action, participate in training Libyan personnel.
Set project philosophies, produce specifications, and provide materials selection reports with materials selection diagrams.
Review and approve contractor documents, drawings and specifications
Participate in safety reviews as required
Will work in all areas of Materials, Corrosion and related disciplines
Provide consultancy advice on use of codes and standards
Qualifications:
MSc degree in Metallurgy science
NACE courses degree in science with further education in corrosion and metallurgy
Minimum Ten (10) years field experience in a metallurgical or corrosion engineering position-Oil/Gas and Petrochemical plants.
Effective communication skills-able to deliver presentations and reports in a clear, concise and detailed manner
Excellent proven track record in project safety and delivery
Able to prioritize tasks and duties
Fluent in English, both written and oral
Excellent knowledge of standards and codes within discipline
Location: Tripoli, Libya
Summary of Terms & conditions are
• Work Cycle of 56 work /21 days leave For North America, Europe
• Work Cycle of 65 work /21 days leave For Middle East/India/Pakistan
• Working Hours/Days per week : 9 hours / 6 days
• Payment for work days only
• Mobilization & demobilization air fare by economy Class & thereafter by business class
• Medical insurance
• Board & lodging and internal transportation to be provided by Client
• Each candidate should be compliant with the job description provided.
- Age limit – up to 63
- Professional registration in the Contractor’s home country, if applicable
- Fully conversant with applicable Codes and Standards.
- Fluent in English language, written and spoken
- Ability to write specifications and reports etc., in clear and effective English.
