Engineering Services Examination
Indian Engineering Services ( IES ) are the civil services that meet the technical and managerial functions of the Government of India. A combined four-stage competitive examination (comprising six tests), called the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) is conducted by the UPSC for recruitment to the Indian Engineering Services.
Categories of which recruitment is made through the Examination
i. Civil Engineering
ii. Mechanical Engineering
iii. Electrical Engineering
iv. Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering
Age: 21-30 years
Educational Qualification: Engineering degree from a recognised university or equivalent. (BTech /BE)
M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain Services/posts only.
