Opportunities in Border Security Force (BSF) for Male candidates as Constables (tradesmen)
Applications are invited from MALE Indian citizens for the post of Constable (Tradesmen) in Border Security Force
Pay scale: pay band –I Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade pay Rs.2000/- plus other allowances as per rule
No. of positions : 1436 nos
Age : Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st Aug’2013.
Gender : Male

Last date for receiving application at respective centers : September 08, 2013 (30 days from the date of publication of Advertisement in Employment News.)
Education : Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized University/Board with.
i) Two years work experience in respective trades; OR
ii) One year certificate course from Industrial Training Institute/Vocational Institute with at least one year experience
in the trade; OR
iii) Two years Diploma from Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade.
Physical standards :
Height : 167.5 Cms & Chest : 78- 83Cms
Weight : Proportionate to height as per medical standard
Medical Standards:
Vision : Minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction (i.e. without wearing glasses). -Must pass high grade colour vision test. Must not have knock- knee, flat feet or squint in eyes
Must not have any defect/deformity which is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties
-Must qualify the physical efficiency test and medical examination
e) Must qualify trade test of respective trade.
Method of Selection : Selection will be through following steps
1. Document verification
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
3. Physical Standard Test (PST):
4. Trade Test
5. Written Test (100 marks)
Physical Efficiency Tests and Physical Standard Test will only be qualifying in nature and it will not carry any marks.
The duration of the Written Test will be 2 hours.
Application Fee : Postal order or Demand Draft for Rs. 50/- in favour of Concerned IG/DIG/Commandant payable at bank of concerned Headquarter, under which their state falls, as mentioned against each with Code No. However, no postal order or Demand Draft is required to be sent by SC/ST candidates and Ex- servicemen.

Application in the prescribed format should be downloaded from BSF website or type written on one side only in foolscap plain paper with passport size photographs affixing on application duly attested by a Gazette officer with seal be sent to concerned Headquarter, under which their state falls, on or before 30 days after publication of this advertisement in Employment News through post along with documents specified in the advertisement.
Envelope containing Applications must be subscribed in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE(TRADESMAN) IN BSF”
