BSF Direct recruitment for the Posts of Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASI RM) and Head Constables (HC RO& fitter) - last date: Sept 30, 2013
DIRECT RECRUITMENT BY BORDER SECURITY FORCE (BSF) FOR THE POSTS OF ASI(RM),HC(RO) AND HC(FITTER) IN ITS COMMUNICATION SET UP - SEPT -2013.
BSF has invited Applications from male & female Indian citizens for the post of ASI(RM), HC(RO) and HC(Fitter) in BSF Comn Set-up in the pay scale mentioned below:
pay scale:
ASI(RM): Rs.5200- 20,200 (PB-I) plus Grade pay of Rs. 2800/- per month
HC(RO) and HC(Fitter) : Rs.5200- 20,200 (PB-I) plus Grade pay of Rs. 2400/- per month
No. of Posts in each category are given below:
Assistant Sub Inspector ASI(RM) : 103 nos
Head Constable HC(FITTER) : 23 nos
Head Constable HC(RO) : 685 nos
Total : 811 nos
Last date for receiving applications : 30 September 2013
Eligibility criteria:
ASI(RM)
Qualification: 10+2 or Intermediate or equivalent with aggregate marks of Fifty percent with selective subject being Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University or Institution.
OR
Matric with 3 year Diploma in Radio and TV Technology or Electronics or Telecommunication or Computer or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Domestic Appliances from any institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
HC(FITTER)
Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution and Two years Industrial Training Institute Certificate in Engine Fitter or Diesel Mechanic or Automobile or Motor Mechanic from an institution recognized by State or Central Government or Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent with physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or Institution.
HC(RO)
Matriculation or equivalent and two year Industrial Training Institute Certificate in Radio and TV or Electronics or Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or Institution.
Age limit for above posts:
General Category : 18 to 25 years
OBC Category : 18 to 28 years
SC & ST Category : 18 to 30 years
Physical measurements:
Male : Height 168 cms Chest : 80 cms (85 cms after expansion) Weight : Corresponding to Height
Female: Height 157 cms Chest : Not applicable Weight : Corresponding to Height
Medical Standards:
Must not be having any defect/deformity likely to interfere with the efficient Performance of the duties.
Must not have knock-knees, flat feet or squint in eyes.
Must pass high-grade colour vision test.
Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of the both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing glasses.
Selection process :
First Phase : There will be an Exam on 24 NOVEMBER 2013 (WRITTEN TEST ). The written examination of 3 hrs duration will be conducted at the selection centers on the date and time to be fixed by HQ DG BSF. There will be questions from Physics, Chemistry , Maths, English and GK as per 10+2 / Intermediate of CBSE/ State Boards of education Syllabus and current affairs
The result of written test qualified candidates will be uploaded on BSF web site www.bsf.nic.in
Second Phase : Physical and other tests will be on December 23 2013. Tests include PST, PET ,Documentation,Dictation test and interview
Candidates who qualify all the above tests will be put through a detailed medical examination to assess their fitness ( Final Medical test )
Recruitment test will be held at the centers mentioned in the detailed advertisement. Candidates willing to appear at any one of the center may apply on the address of respective centers.
