BORDER SECURITY FORCE (BSF) CONDUCTING ALL INDIA RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION FOR THE SELECTING SUITABLE CANDIDATES FOR THE POSTS OF SUB INSPECTOR (SI) / JUNIOR ENGINEER (JE) (ELECTRICAL) FOR ITS ENGINEERING SET UP FOR YEAR 2013.
BSF Advertisement for recruitment of SI/JE(Electrical) in BSF Engg Set up - 2013 (BSF HQ L/No.12034 dated August 30 2013.)
BSF has invited Applications from male & female Indian citizens for appearing in the All India level Recruitment Examination for selection towards the the post of SI/JE (Electrical) in BSF Engineering Set up for the year 2013 in the payscale mentioned below:
pay scale:: Pay Band 2 Rs.9300- 34,800 (PB-I) plus Grade pay of Rs. 4200/- per month
No. of Posts : 28 nos
Last date for receiving applications : November 10 2013 ( Last date of receipt of application will be 45 days from the date of publication of Advertisement in Employment News.)
Eligibility criteria:
Qualification: 3 years Diploma in electrical Engineering from a recogonised university or board
Age limit upto 30 years , there are exemptions for different categories of applicant, please refer advertisemnt for more details on this.
Physical measurements:
Male : Height 165 cms Chest : 76 cms (81 cms after expansion) Weight : Corresponding to Height, age and medical standards
Female: Height 157 cms Chest : Not applicable Weight : Corresponding to Height,but not less than 46 Kgs
Medical Standards:
Must not be having any defect/deformity likely to interfere with the efficient Performance of the duties.
Must not have knock-knees, flat feet or squint in eyes.
Must pass high-grade colour vision test.
Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of the both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing glasses.
Selection process :
First Phase : There will be an examination on OMR based answersheet. Marks will be out of 100. Questions pattern would be
General Intelligence and reasoning (25 marks)
General Awareness (25 marks)
General Engineering Electrical (50 marks)
syllabus : Details of the syllabus is given in advertisement
Qualifying marks : For General / OBC : 50% For SC/ST : 45%
The result of written test qualified candidates will be uploaded on BSF web site www.bsf.nic.in
Second Phase : Physical and other tests include PST, PET ,Documentation,Dictation test and interview
Candidates who qualify all the above tests will be put through a detailed medical examination to assess their fitness ( Final Medical test )
Recruitment test will be held at the centers mentioned in the detailed advertisement. Candidates willing to appear at any one of the center may apply on the address of respective centers.
