Indian Air force (IAF) has invited applications from Male unmarried Indian citizen to join their Meteorology Branch as Short Service commissioned or permanent commissioned officers.
IAF is conducting Selection for following courses which starts on July 2015. The successfully cnadidates will serve Indian Airforce as permanent commissioned officers (till age of superannuation) or Short commissioned officers (10 years + 4 years extension).
IAF METEOROLOGY BRANCH - COURSE COMMENCES ON JULY 2015
10% of seats are reserved for NCC Air wing 'C' Certificate holders
Education : PG (Post graduation)
Age limit : 20 to 25 years
Pay scale : Rs 15,600 - 39,100
Last date to apply : August 9, 2014
Nationality : Indian or as per Indian Citizenship act 1955
Educational Qualification : Post graduate degree With minimum 50% marks in Science Stream / Maths / Computer applications / Geo physics / Statistics / geography / Ecology and Environment / Applied physics / Environmental science / Meteorology / Agricultaral Meteorology Also 55% aggregate marks in degree
Age : 20 to 25 years ( For PhD candidates upper age limit is 27 years)
Height : minimum 157.5 cm
Weight : proportionate to height
Selection process : Shortlisted candidates will be called for AFSB interview at any of the AFSB centers at Dehradun, Varanasi, Gandhinagar or Mysore.
There will be intelligence test, screening test , group test, psycological test , interviews the SSB interview followed by Medical examination at AFCME Newdelhi or IAM Bangalore. AFSB recommended and medically fit candidates will be selected for training.
