Indian Air force (IAF) has invited applications from women Indian citizen for Meteorology Branch Course Commencing from July 2015 to join as Short Service commissioned officers.
IAF is conducting Selection for Course (No. 197/15G/SSC/W - Short Service commission ) which commences on July 2015. The successfully candidates will serve Indian Airforce as Short commissioned officers.

10% of seats are reserved for NCC Air wing 'C' Certificate holders
Pay scale : Rs 15,600 - 39,100
Last date to apply : August 9, 2014
Period of service : 10 years + 4 years extension
Eligibility criteria
Education : PG (Post graduation)
Age limit : 20 to 25 years
Nationality : Indian or as per Indian Citizenship act 1955
Educational Qualification : Post graduate degree With minimum 50% marks in Science Stream / Computer applications / Maths / Statistics / Geo physics / geography / Environmental science / Ecology and Environment / Applied physics / Agricultural Meteorology / Meteorology + 55% aggregate marks in degree
Age : 20 to 25 years ( For PhD candidates upper age
limit is 27 years)
Height : minimum 152 cm
Weight : proportionate to height
Selection process : Shortlisted candidates will be called for AFSB interview at any of the AFSB centers at Dehradun, Varanasi, Gandhinagar or Mysore.
There will be intelligence test, screening test , group test, psycological test , interviews the SSB interview followed by Medical examination at IAM Bangalore OR AFCME New delhi . AFSB recommended and medically fit candidates will be selected for training.
