What is change in UAE Employment VISA process after the UAE Employment VISA law change in November 2016?

In new UAE VISA system implemented on November 2016 by UAE missions in  Delhi and Kerala ,The employer gets the reference number from the UAE immigration authorities once the employment visa for the Indian employee is ready. The  domestic workers and blue-collar employees have to visit the UAE consulate office directly in person and produce their original passport and work-related documents to collect the visa from the consulate .


Employment visas to all other categories of Indian employees are directly issued from the UAE. There is no need of attestation by the UAE missions in India for such VISAs.

Please note that representative of the worker cannot collect the visa by producing the documents of the worker. This new system was implemented to prevent VISA fraud.
