APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship for minority students of Kerala state

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship for Diploma Students  

The Kerala government launched the Scholarship Program with the intention of assisting economically disadvantaged minority students studying three-year diploma programs at government or government-aided polytechnic colleges. For the length of their study, the scholarship offers up to Rs 6000 in annual financial support. Applicants for this scholarship program must be eligible students who are permanent residents of the state of Kerala and members of minority communities.

The Abdul Kalam Scholarship by Minority Welfare Department under Govt of Kerala, aims at alleviating students' financial burdens and encourage minority populations to pursue higher education.

APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship Amount : Rs. 6,000 per year

All of the students who are chosen for the APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship 2024 will receive financial aid for up to Rs 6,000 a year for three years, or until their diploma program is finished.

APJ Abdul Kalam (APJAK) Scholarship - Eligibility Criteria

  • The beneficiary should be permanent resident of state of Kerala.
  • The students ought to enroll in three-year diploma programs offered by any government-run or government-supported polytechnic institution.
  • Admission in diploma course must be through a merit seat.
  • Students' household income should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh annually.
  • Students from economically backward minority communities, including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains can apply.
